Dane Deutsch is 50 years old and has a double major in
Physical Education and Health from Bemidji, Minnesota.
He also did undergraduate work in Pre-Med while
completing the Air Force ROTC program at University of
Wisconsin in Superior, Wisconsin. He earned his
commission as an Air Force officer in 1982. He is
married and has four children. He is the CEO and
President of DCS Netlink in Rice Lake, Wisconsin.
As a United States Air Force Captain (ret), Dane served
as Chief of Maintenance for country the of Turkey. He was
responsible for 1200 people under his command, assigned
throughout many locations in Turkey; from Iraq to
Istanbul; and from the Black Sea to the Mediterranean Sea.
In addition, Dane led 50 people on his immediate staff
at the headquarters location in Ankara, Turkey. He and
his division were responsible for all
electronics-communications equipment including: navaids,
microwave radio systems, long-haul tropo radios, land
mobile radios, television, telephones, computers (mini,
micro and mainframe), and networks. In addition, his
responsibilities included management and administration
for one of the main ARPANET connections in Europe.
Since leaving active duty Air Force, Dane formed a
corporation called Deutsch's, Inc. It consists of
Deutsch's Gymnastics Training Center and DCS Netlink,
and is headquartered in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. Deutsch's
Gymnastics has trained hundreds of children in the sport
and discipline of gymnastics over the years. In
addition, Deutsch's gym has produced athletes at all
levels of competition, both State and National.
Over the past 15 years, DCS Netlink has grown from 1
employee to 14 and from repairing computers to
installing and maintaining networks to a full line of
Networking and Internet services including: web design,
e-mail services, e-commerce, wireless internet, and most
importantly, Internet Security services. Dane has
personally grown from an A+ Certified Technician to a
Microsoft Certified Support Engineer (MCSE). Most
recently, DCS Netlink has focused on Internet Security
including WatchGuard Firewalls, VPNs, and Internet
Security training on a national basis.
As a team, DCS Netlink was nominated and won the Barron
County Small Business Model of the Year for 2002. In
2002, Dane was chosen as a Wisconsin Small Businessman
of the Year. In 2004, DCS Netlink was recognized at the
RSA Security Conference as a Premier WatchGuard Firewall
Value Added Reseller and Trainer in the United States.
In addition, DCS Netlink was chosen as the Synergy 2004
Award winner for Physical Infrastructure Enhancement in
Western Wisconsin. In July of 2004, Dane attended a John
C. Maxwell Maximum Impact course designed to license him
as a facilitator to teach the “Developing the Leader
within You” course name after the bestseller book by the
same name. Dane is now a licensed facilitator for John
C. Maxwell’s Maximum Impact organization.
